If The Shoe Fits
Well I don't know what I'll write about if Jessie Ventura ever retires from politics? But for now he sure makes good copy. The public prints and the Sunday morning talking heads were rocking with the story about the Governor of Minnesota's Playboy magazine interview. Ventura's comments that religion is a crutch for weak people apparently hit a raw nerve. Even majority leader Dick Aermy called him not much of a politician for making such a statement. The interview of him by Tim Russet was a classic. Ventura came back from the nightmarish questions as well as anyone this writer has ever seen His answers about his religious beliefs were a bit slow in coming, but will probably look good in print. For reasons best known to Ventura, his choice of attire was a workout sweatshirt rather that the business suits he has worn in previous appearances on Meet the Press. This only added to the weirdness of a sitting governor explaining on national television that he has recanted his wish to be reincarnated as a 44DD bra, because Russet might be the wearer of that particular garment. Ventura seems to be hedging a bit when asked about his presidential ambitions in 2000. He stated that you never know what could happen, although he still has no plans to run. Hillary Watch So our first lady and likely New York senatorial candidate feels it's ok to use taxpayer money to fund obscene art exhibits like the one at the Brooklyn Museum. On Meet the Press Mayor Gil came off as a principled statesman, compared to the demigod Hillary. It looks like Gil is working on the Conservative Party in New York. City2 E-News favorite race is turning into everything we hoped it would be.
